Pies, Pots and Pans

A mix and match of turn up and serve options, especially suited to evening or post event catering, where less of the theatre is required, but there’s still the need for loads of hot, tasty, satisfying food! We’re talking pies, big pot casseroles and pan cooked Rice and Pasta dishes.

The Pie’s the Limit!

Freshly made Pies served piping hot by our Chefs and served with Mushy Peas and pickled red cabbage.

Meat and Potato

The Northern standard with plenty of beef and plenty of pepper.

Chicken, Leek and Mushroom.

Tender chicken breast in a creamy thyme infused sauce.

Chicken and Chorizo.

For Southern visitors, a little taste of the Costa del Salford.

Beef and Ale.

Good, rich and thick made with thick chunks of beef rump and Manchester Moonraker Ale.

Cheese and Onion.

Caramelised white and red onion in a vegetarian cheese sauce of local cheeses.

Vegan Butter Pie.

Delicious herbed potato, onion and carrot made with vegan margarine.

Minted Shepherd’s Pie.

Minced, minted Lamb with peas and carrot under mounds of mashed spuds.

Sartu di Risso

Meatballs, spicy sausage, smoked pancetta, mushroom and chunks of mozzarella, braised in garlicky tomato sauce, and baked under a crust of delicious, bread and parmesan crumb topped risotto rice.

Gone potty!

Big pots of steaming loveliness, what they lack in finesse they make up for in taste and volume. Served with tonnes of crusty bread and butter:

Pork, Bean, Garlic and Sausage Cassoulet. 

The Langue D’Oc favourite, Lancs style. Delicious casserole of Haricot and cannelinni beans with pork and sausage in a spicy sauce, with a crisp breadcrumb topping.

Austrian Beef Goulash

Chunks of melt in the mouth beef in a rich, paprika tomato sauce serve with soured cream and chives.

Traditional Lancashire Hotpot

Tender Lamb layered with onion and sliced potato in a sumptuous gravy.

Lobscouse

Called Lobby in Lancashire and Scouse in Liverpool, our version has beef stewed with onions and root vegetables in a peppery, meaty gravy.

Mexican Beef Chilli

Minced beef and braised beef in the classic slow cooked, gum singeing, bean feast. Rice can served with it at extra cost, but you won’t need it … perfect with the bread.

Pan-dering for all tastes!

Big, shallow pan-cooked dishes, cooked fast in front of your eyes.

Spanish Chicken, Chorizo and Mushroom Penne.

Penne Pasta coated in chicken breast and chorizo with shallots, garlic and mushrooms, in a garlic, basil, tomato and double cream sauce, with a Cayenne kick.  

Spanish Paella

Chicken, chorizo, seafood or vegetables sauteed with saffron rice cooked in a delicious stock.

Manchester Mac & Cheese

Macaroni coated in a creamy sauce made with Manchester Pale Ale and locally produced cheeses. Served as it is, in all it’s vegetarian beauty OR with Cheshire Bacon, Whitefield Italian style sausage or one of our pulled meats mixed in!

Vegan Risotto

Whatever you fancy as long as it is free of animal products, in a big, beautiful, creamy Risotto.

What comes with the package ?

Our qualified and insured Chef with assistant who, unless arranged otherwise, will arrive and set up 1 to 2 hours before serve time (having already conducted our risk assessment with you by phone). The assistant will then set up as planned with everything needed to serve your food piping hot, while the Chef performs the finishing touches to the dishes, and ensures all the sauces and other essentials are ready to serve.

These dishes are served into bamboo bowls with wooden cutlery, if you want to get more formal though, we can serve on china plates with stainless steel cutlery.
