Weddings are a massive part of our business, whether providing only the evening buffet or the full service Wedding Breakfast .  We have our own wedding venue just outside Manchester www.oldschoolroomweddings.com If you haven’t decided on a venue yet, give us a shout and we will show you around.

We offer high quality, well presented yet unpretentious food, and lots of it. We are rightly proud of our lovey staff who are constantly complimented for being the happy, friendly and helpful young professionals they are.

All of our wedding options are served as standard onto china crockery, and we dress tables with stainless steel cutlery. We provide high quality disposable napkins to supplement any cloth napkins you provide. We don’t do linen hire but we have some great contacts if you need a supplier.

Anyway … here are our canapes, starters, main course and dessert options for you to peruse. Flexibility is another of our key words, so if there’s anything you’d like to add in, take out or mix up a bit, just let us know.

Salmon Canopies

Canapés

Served to your guests as they arrive (choose five)

Old English Cocktail Sausages: served hot, glazed with honey and wholegrain mustard. 

Mini Pizzas: classic mini tomato and mozzarella pizzas with a choice of topping, served hot (V)

Mini Quiche: Freshly baked pastry cases with a variety of fillings, some vegetarian, served warm. (V)

Wild Mushroom Bouchees: puff pastry cases with a creamy mushroom, garlic and thyme filling. (V)

Chicken Supreme Bouchees: puff pastry cases filled with chicken and bacon in a garlic cream sauce.

Pate Encroute: smooth brussels pate piped onto crusty garlic croutons. 

Hummus Crostini: chickpea hummus dressed with slivers of sweet pepper. (V)

Chicken Satay: skewered marinated chicken strips served warm with a peanut dip.

Indian Selection: a selection of mini bhajis, pakora and samosa served hot with a sweet chilli dip (V) 

Chickpea Falafel: Spicy Falafel served hot with mint yoghurt dip  (V)

Peking Duck Wraps: roast duck in plum sauce wrapped In Chinese pancakes with ginger and scallion.

Smoked Salmon on Brown Bread: curls of salmon on bread discs with black pepper and lemon.

Roast Beef / Chicken or Pork in Yorkshire Pudding: mini Yorkshires filled with the meat of your choice in a rich gravy.

Starters

Usually served to the table in a large tureen or platter for your guests to serve themselves.

Tureens of homemade Soup choose from Leek & Potato (V) , Carrot & Coriander (V) , Cream of Chicken, Tomato & Basil dip (V) , Lentil & Vegetable (V) or let us know your favourite. Served with crusty bread and butter.

Anti Pasti Platters with a selection of continental and local cheeses, prosciutto, mortadella, salami, stuffed olives, stuffed peppers, Caprese salad, bread sticks and hunks of olive oil drizzled focaccia.

Watermelon and Parma Ham platter juicy slices of melon with Parma ham and strawberries.

Roast Beef With Yorks And Gravy

Main Courses

Roasted Meat choose one or two of the following meats which will be served with its own gravy and hot Sage & Onion stuffing.

Whole roasted Hog or Lamb; roast Turkey, Chicken or joints of Pork, Lamb, Beef Sirloin or roast Ham.

BBQ only available as buffet service. As an alternative to roast meat, choose from our BBQ Menu.

Vegetarian or Vegan alternative Depending on the number of vegetarian or vegan meals required, we can create a menu option by agreement.

Then, select either three Salad options or a hot vegetable option

Or Hot Seasonal Vegetables such as Carrot, Green Bean, Mangetout.

Finally, Select one Potato Option.

Desserts

Our delicious desserts are self-served from our dessert table with a big bowl of whipped cream. Choose from the following, or let us know if your favourite is missing.

Individual Cream Pavlova

Strawberry or Chocolate and Caramel in a light, chewy meringue nest.

Profiteroles

Choux pastry buns loaded with cream and smothered In chocolate. 

Individual Torte

Delicious mousse in a variety of flavours, on a sponge base. Flavours include Strawberry, White or Dark Chocolate, Bucks Fizz, Tiramsu or Bailey’s. 

Individual Tarts

Butter pastry with a choice of flavoured fillings, including Lemon, Banoffee, Clementine, Pecan, Chocolate, Lemon and Ginger Treacle. 

Individual Cheesecake

Individual cheese cakes, with a light creamy cheese filling set on a crunchy biscuit base. Flavours include Vanilla, Lemon, Strawberry, White Chocolate, Winter Berry. 

Cake

Whole cakes, in a variety of flavours including Chocolate Fudge, Carrot Cake, Victoria Sponge,.

Hot Drinks  

A hot drink at the end of a meal is popular but so is the provision of hot drinks throughout the event on occasion. We have three options for Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate or Herbal Teas :
1. Set out china cups and saucers at each place setting and our staff will come around with prepared flasks of your drinks of choice at the end of the meal.

2. Set up a self-service hot drinks table with china crockery for guests to help themselves to throughout the course of the meal and evening.

3. Set up the self-service table, but with disposable hot cups, that your guests can help themselves to throughout the evening. The use of disposables means we don’t have to have extra staff managing the China all night which means a cheaper price!

Staff In Action

You get a fully trained, qualified and insured Chef with assistant who unless arranged otherwise, will arrive and set up 1 to 2 hours before serve time (we will already have conducted our risk assessment with you by phone and if necessary will arrive a lot earlier). The assistant will then set up as planned with everything needed to serve, while the Chef prepares your food.

We use high quality, rigid small compostable plates and napkins if you are just having the sandwich style option.
If you opt for salads and/or spuds too we bring larger compostable bamboo plates with wooden cutlery.

If you want to get even posher, we can serve on china plates with stainless steel cutlery.
